1-2 1-2 (2-3) Dios mío,
siempre alabaré tu gran amor,
que nunca cambia;
siempre hablaré de tu fidelidad,
¡tan firme como el cielo!
3 3 (4) Tú hiciste un pacto con David,
el rey que tú elegiste;
le prometiste bajo juramento:
4 4 (5) «Cuando hayas muerto,
uno de tus descendientes
reinará siempre en tu lugar».
5-7 5-7 (6-8) Dios mío,
los cielos te alaban
por tus grandes hechos;
todos los ángeles del cielo
hablan de tu fidelidad
y solo a ti te honran.
Eres un Dios incomparable;
¡eres grande y maravilloso
entre los dioses!
8 8 (9) Señor y Dios del universo,
¡no hay Dios como tú,
tan fiel y poderoso!
9 9 (10) Tú dominas el mar embravecido,
y calmas sus olas agitadas.
10 10 (11) Aplastaste al monstruo del mar,
y con tu brazo poderoso
derrotaste a tus enemigos.
11 11 (12) Tuyo es el cielo,
tuya es también la tierra;
tú creaste el mundo
y todo lo que hay en él.
12 12 (13) Tú creaste el norte y el sur;
los montes Tabor y Hermón
te alaban con alegría.
13 13 (14) Muy grande es tu poder
para realizar grandes hazañas;
¡levantas la mano derecha
en señal de victoria!
14 14 (15) Tú gobiernas con justicia y rectitud,
pero sobre todas las cosas,
nos demuestras tu constante amor.

tú bendices y das honra
al pueblo que te alaba,
que acepta tu dirección
y se alegra en tu justicia.
17 17 (18) De ti recibimos grandeza y poder;
por tu bondad aumentas nuestra fuerza.

tú eres nuestro rey
y nos das tu protección.
19-20 19-20 (20-21) Una vez hablaste con nosotros,
que somos tu pueblo fiel,
y nos dijiste:
«En mi pueblo hay un valiente;
es el mejor de todos los jóvenes.
Es David, mi servidor.
Yo le he brindado mi ayuda
y le he dado el más alto honor:
¡lo he declarado rey de Israel!
21 21 (22) Con mi brazo poderoso
lo sostendré y le daré fuerzas.
22 22 (23) Sus enemigos no podrán vencerlo,
ni lo dominarán los malvados.
23 23 (24) Yo destruiré a sus enemigos,
y acabaré con quienes lo odian;
¡los borraré de su vista!
24 24 (25) Mi amor por él
siempre será el mismo,
y yo aumentaré su poder.
25 25 (26) Su dominio se extenderá
del mar Mediterráneo a la Mesopotamia.
26 26 (27) Él me dirá:
“Tú eres mi Padre y me proteges;
eres mi Dios y salvador”.
27 27 (28) Yo le concederé los derechos
que merece todo hijo mayor:
lo pondré por encima
de todos los reyes del mundo.
28 28 (29) Mi amor por él nunca cambiará,
ni faltaré a la promesa que le hice.
29 29 (30) Mientras el cielo exista,
siempre lo mantendré en el trono;
lo mismo haré con sus descendientes
que reinarán en su lugar.
30 30 (31) Pero si ellos no cumplen
con mis leyes y enseñanzas,
31 31 (32) sino que se burlan de ellas,
32 32 (33) castigaré su maldad
y les daré su merecido.
33 33 (34) »Sin embargo, mi amor por David
siempre será el mismo.
34 34 (35) Jamás faltaré a mi pacto;
siempre le cumpliré mis promesas.
35 35 (36) »A David le hice una promesa,
y juro por mí mismo que la cumpliré.
36-37 36-37 (37-38) Siempre reinará en su lugar
uno de sus descendientes.
Mientras el sol y la luna existan,
su reinado permanecerá».
38-39 38-39 (39-40) Pero te has enojado con David,
el rey que tú mismo elegiste;
has arrojado al suelo su corona,
has roto tu pacto con él
y lo has abandonado.
40 40 (41) Has derribado y dejado en ruinas
las murallas que protegen a Jerusalén.
41 41 (42) Todos los que pasan, algo se llevan;
¡somos la burla de nuestros vecinos!
42 42 (43) Los enemigos de David están felices
porque ahora tienen más poder,
43 43 (44) pues dejaste sin filo su espada
y no lo apoyaste en la batalla;
44 44 (45) pusiste fin a su esplendor,
y arrojaste al suelo su corona;
45 45 (46) le quitaste años de vida
y lo cubriste de vergüenza.
46 46 (47) Dios mío,
¿vas a estar siempre escondido?
¿Vas a estar siempre enojado?
47-48 47-48 (48-49) ¿En qué estabas pensando
cuando creaste al ser humano?
Nos has dado una vida muy corta,
y de la muerte nadie se libra.
49 49 (50) ¿Qué pasó con ese amor
que al principio le juraste a David?
¡Tú dijiste que nunca cambiarías!
50 50 (51) Dios mío,
¡todos se burlan de nosotros!
¡Tenemos que aguantar
las ofensas de mucha gente!
51 51 (52) Tus enemigos nos ofenden;
¡a cada paso insultan a tu pueblo!
52 52 (53) Dios mío,
¡bendito seas por siempre!

1 I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
2 For I have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: thy faithfulness shalt thou establish in the very heavens.
3 I have made a covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant,
4 Thy seed will I establish for ever, and build up thy throne to all generations. Selah.
5 And the heavens shall praise thy wonders, O LORD: thy faithfulness also in the congregation of the saints.
6 For who in the heaven can be compared unto the LORD? who among the sons of the mighty can be likened unto the LORD?
7 God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be had in reverence of all them that are about him.
8 O LORD God of hosts, who is a strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee?
9 Thou rulest the raging of the sea: when the waves thereof arise, thou stillest them.
10 Thou hast broken Rahab in pieces, as one that is slain; thou hast scattered thine enemies with thy strong arm.
11 The heavens are thine, the earth also is thine: as for the world and the fulness thereof, thou hast founded them.
12 The north and the south thou hast created them: Tabor and Hermon shall rejoice in thy name.
13 Thou hast a mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand.
14 Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne: mercy and truth shall go before thy face.
15 Blessed is the people that know the joyful sound: they shall walk, O LORD, in the light of thy countenance.
16 In thy name shall they rejoice all the day: and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted.
17 For thou art the glory of their strength: and in thy favour our horn shall be exalted.
18 For the LORD is our defence; and the Holy One of Israel is our king.
19 Then thou spakest in vision to thy holy one, and saidst, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted one chosen out of the people.
20 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him:
21 With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.
22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.
23 And I will beat down his foes before his face, and plague them that hate him.
24 But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
25 I will set his hand also in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
26 He shall cry unto me, Thou art my father, my God, and the rock of my salvation.
27 Also I will make him my firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
28 My mercy will I keep for him for evermore, and my covenant shall stand fast with him.
29 His seed also will I make to endure for ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
30 If his children forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
31 If they break my statutes, and keep not my commandments;
32 Then will I visit their transgression with the rod, and their iniquity with stripes.
33 Nevertheless my lovingkindness will I not utterly take from him, nor suffer my faithfulness to fail.
34 My covenant will I not break, nor alter the thing that is gone out of my lips.
35 Once have I sworn by my holiness that I will not lie unto David.
36 His seed shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me.
37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as a faithful witness in heaven. Selah.
38 But thou hast cast off and abhorred, thou hast been wroth with thine anointed.
39 Thou hast made void the covenant of thy servant: thou hast profaned his crown by casting it to the ground.
40 Thou hast broken down all his hedges; thou hast brought his strong holds to ruin.
41 All that pass by the way spoil him: he is a reproach to his neighbours.
42 Thou hast set up the right hand of his adversaries; thou hast made all his enemies to rejoice.
43 Thou hast also turned the edge of his sword, and hast not made him to stand in the battle.
44 Thou hast made his glory to cease, and cast his throne down to the ground.
45 The days of his youth hast thou shortened: thou hast covered him with shame. Selah.
46 How long, LORD? wilt thou hide thyself for ever? shall thy wrath burn like fire?
47 Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast thou made all men in vain?
48 What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave? Selah.
49 Lord, where are thy former lovingkindnesses, which thou swarest unto David in thy truth?
50 Remember, Lord, the reproach of thy servants; how I do bear in my bosom the reproach of all the mighty people;
51 Wherewith thine enemies have reproached, O LORD; wherewith they have reproached the footsteps of thine anointed.
52 Blessed be the LORD for evermore. Amen, and Amen.
