Oseas y su esposa infiel
1 Dios volvió a decirme:
«Oseas, tu esposa te es infiel:
tiene un amigo que es su amante.
También los israelitas me son infieles,
pues adoran a dioses falsos
y comen de las ofrendas que presentan.
Sin embargo, ve y ama a tu esposa,
así como yo amo a los israelitas».
2 Yo, Oseas, le pagué al amante de mi esposa quince monedas de plata y le di trescientos treinta kilos de cebada, para que ella volviera a vivir conmigo. 3 Y luego le dije a ella:
«Ya eres mía,
y vivirás conmigo mucho tiempo.
Si tú prometes serme fiel,
yo también te seré fiel,
aunque por un tiempo
no viviremos como esposos».
4 Lo mismo sucederá con los israelitas: Durante mucho tiempo no tendrán rey ni jefe; tampoco podrán presentar ofrendas a Dios, ni sabrán lo que Dios quiere que hagan; además, no tendrán sacerdotes ni ídolos familiares. 5 Después de esto, se arrepentirán. Cuando llegue el tiempo del fin, volverán a obedecer a Dios y pedirán sus bendiciones, y también seguirán el ejemplo del rey David.
1 Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine. 2 So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley: 3 And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee. 4 For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim: 5 Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the LORD their God, and David their king; and shall fear the LORD and his goodness in the latter days.
