¡Él está vivo!
(Mc 16.1-8Lc 24.1-12Jn 20.1-10)1 El domingo al amanecer, cuando ya había pasado el tiempo del descanso obligatorio, María Magdalena y la otra María fueron a ver la tumba de Jesús.
2 De pronto, hubo un gran temblor. Un ángel de Dios bajó del cielo, movió la piedra que cerraba la tumba, y se sentó sobre ella. 3 El ángel brillaba como un relámpago, y su ropa era blanca como la nieve. 4 Al verlo, los guardias se asustaron tanto que empezaron a temblar y se quedaron como muertos. 5 El ángel les dijo a las mujeres:
«No se asusten. Yo sé que están buscando a Jesús, el que murió en la cruz. 6 No está aquí; ha resucitado, tal y como lo había dicho. Vengan a ver el lugar donde habían puesto su cuerpo. 7 Y ahora, vayan de inmediato a contarles a sus discípulos que él ya ha resucitado, y que va a Galilea para llegar antes que ellos. Allí podrán verlo. Este es el mensaje que les doy.»
8 Las mujeres se asustaron mucho, pero también se alegraron, y enseguida corrieron a darles la noticia a los discípulos. 9 En eso, Jesús les salió al encuentro y las saludó. Ellas se acercaron a él, le abrazaron los pies y lo adoraron. 10 Entonces Jesús les dijo: «No tengan miedo. Corran a avisarles a mis discípulos, para que vayan a Galilea; allí me verán.»
La mentira que contaron los soldados
11 Las mujeres fueron a buscar a los discípulos. Mientras tanto, algunos de los soldados que cuidaban la tumba regresaron a la ciudad. Allí les contaron a los sacerdotes principales todo lo que había pasado. 12 Entonces los sacerdotes y los líderes del país decidieron pagarles mucho dinero a los soldados, para que no dijeran lo que en verdad había sucedido. 13 Les dijeron:
«Vayan y digan a la gente que los discípulos de Jesús vinieron por la noche, cuando ustedes estaban dormidos, y que se robaron el cuerpo de Jesús. 14 Si el gobernador llega a saber esto, nosotros hablaremos con él, y a ustedes no se les culpará de nada.»
15 Los soldados aceptaron el dinero y le contaron a la gente lo que los sacerdotes principales les habían indicado. Esta misma mentira es la que se sigue contando entre los judíos hasta el momento de escribir esta historia.
La misión de los discípulos
(Mc 16.14-18Lc 24.36-49Jn 20.19-23)16 Los once discípulos se fueron a Galilea, al cerro que Jesús les había indicado. 17 Cuando se encontraron con él, lo adoraron, aunque algunos de ellos todavía dudaban de que realmente fuera Jesús.
18 Pero él se acercó y les dijo:
«Dios me ha dado todo el poder para gobernar en todo el universo. 19 Ustedes vayan y hagan más discípulos míos en todos los países de la tierra. Bautícenlos en el nombre del Padre, del Hijo y del Espíritu Santo. 20 Enséñenles a obedecer todo lo que yo les he enseñado. Yo estaré siempre con ustedes, hasta el fin del mundo.»
1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre. 2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it. 3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow: 4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men . 5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. 6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. 7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you. 8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.
9 ¶ And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him. 10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.
11 ¶ Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done. 12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers, 13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept. 14 And if this come to the governor’s ears, we will persuade him, and secure you. 15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
16 ¶ Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 ¶ Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
