Dios da poder al rey
SALMO 110 (109)
(1a) Himno de David.
1 1 (1b) Mi Dios le dijo a mi señor el rey:
«Siéntate a la derecha de mi trono
hasta que yo derrote a tus enemigos».
2 ¡Que Dios te permita
derrotar a tus enemigos,
y extienda desde Jerusalén
el poder de tu reinado!
3 ¡Que tus soldados te juren lealtad
sobre los cerros de Dios
en el día de la batalla!
Cuando salga el sol,
se renovarán tus fuerzas.
4 Dios ha hecho un juramento,
y lo cumplirá:
«Tú eres sacerdote para siempre,
como lo fue Melquisedec».
5-6 Mi Dios está a tu derecha,
y siempre te ayudará.
Cuando manifieste su enojo,
aplastará reyes y gobernantes,
juzgará naciones,
y por toda la tierra
amontonará cadáveres.
7 Junto al camino,
el rey apagará su sed
con el agua de un arroyo,
y así recobrará las fuerzas.

1 The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.
2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.
3 Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.
4 The LORD hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.
5 The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath.
6 He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries.
7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
