(1) Himno de David.
Instrucciones para el director del coro: Este himno deberá cantarse acompañado de instrumentos de ocho cuerdas.
1 1 (2) Sálvanos, Dios mío,
pues ya no hay en este mundo
gente que te sea fiel.
2 2 (3) Todo el mundo dice mentiras
y unos a otros se engañan;
ahora dicen una cosa,
y luego dicen otra.
3 3 (4) Tú acabarás con esa gente
mentirosa y arrogante,
4 4 (5) con esa gente que dice:
«Lo que nos sobra es lengua;
sabemos hablar muy bien.
¡Nadie podrá dominarnos!»
5 5 (6) Pero tú mismo has dicho:
«La gente pobre y humilde
ya no aguanta tanto maltrato;
voy a entrar en acción
y los pondré a salvo».
6-8 6-8 (7-9) Dios mío,
tú siempre cumples tus promesas
y lo has demostrado una y otra vez.
Tus promesas son más valiosas
que plata refinada.
Podrá haber malvados en el mundo,
y la maldad ir en aumento,
pero tú siempre nos proteges
y nos defiendes de esa gente.

1 Help, LORD; for the godly man ceaseth; for the faithful fail from among the children of men.
2 They speak vanity every one with his neighbour: with flattering lips and with a double heart do they speak.
3 The LORD shall cut off all flattering lips, and the tongue that speaketh proud things:
4 Who have said, With our tongue will we prevail; our lips are our own: who is lord over us?
5 For the oppression of the poor, for the sighing of the needy, now will I arise, saith the LORD; I will set him in safety from him that puffeth at him.
6 The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.
7 Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever.
8 The wicked walk on every side, when the vilest men are exalted.
