(1) Himno de David.
1 1 (2) ¡Vamos, Dios mío,
dispersa a tus enemigos!
¡Haz que huya de tu presencia
esa gente que te odia!
2 2 (3) ¡Haz que desaparezcan por completo,
como desaparece el humo
tan pronto como sopla el viento!
¡Haz que esos malvados
se derritan como cera en el fuego!
3 3 (4) Pero a la gente honrada
permítele alegrarse y hacer fiesta,
y estar feliz en tu presencia.
4 4 (5) ¡Cantemos himnos a Dios!
¡Sí, cantémosle al que manda la lluvia!
¡Hagamos fiesta en su presencia!
¡Él es el Dios de Israel!
5 5 (6) Dios, que vive en su santo templo,
cuida a los huérfanos
y defiende a las viudas;
6 6 (7) les da hogar a los desamparados,
y libertad a los presos;
pero a los que no lo obedecen
les da tierras que nada producen.
7-8 7-8 (8-9) Dios mío,
cuando sacaste de Egipto
a tu pueblo Israel
y lo guiaste por el desierto,
tan pronto llegaste al monte Sinaí,
la tierra tembló
y el cielo dejó caer su lluvia.
9 9 (10) Dios mío, tú
enviaste abundantes lluvias
y nuestras tierras
volvieron a producir.
10 10 (11) Y en esa tierra vivimos;
en la tierra que, por tu bondad,
preparaste para los pobres.
11 11 (12) Tú, Dios mío, hablaste,
y miles de mujeres dieron la noticia:
12 12 (13) «¡Huyen los reyes,
huyen sus ejércitos!»
Las mujeres, en sus casas,
se reparten las riquezas
que le quitaron al enemigo:
13 13 (14) objetos de plata y de oro.
Pero algunos israelitas
se escondieron entre el ganado.
14 14 (15) Cuando tú, Dios todopoderoso,
hiciste que los reyes de la tierra
salieran huyendo,
lo alto del monte Salmón
se llenó de nieve.
15 15 (16) Las montañas de Basán
son montañas muy altas;
las montañas de Basán
son montañas majestuosas.
16 16 (17) Ustedes, altas montañas,
¿por qué ven con envidia
la montaña que Dios ha elegido
para vivir allí para siempre?
17 17 (18) Son miles los carros
que Dios usa para la guerra;
en uno de ellos vino del Sinaí
para entrar en su santuario.
18 18 (19) Cuando tú, Dios y Señor,
subiste a las alturas,
te llevaste contigo a los presos,
y te quedaste a vivir allí.
¡Todo el mundo, hasta los rebeldes,
te dieron muchos regalos!
19 19 (20) ¡Bendito seas siempre, nuestro Dios!
Tú, Dios y salvador nuestro,
nos ayudas en nuestros problemas.
20 20 (21) Tú eres un Dios que salva;
¡tú nos libras de la muerte!
21 21 (22) ¡A esos enemigos tuyos
que no dejan de pecar,
les aplastarás la cabeza
y se la partirás en dos!
22 22 (23) Dios nuestro,
tú nos has dicho:
«Yo los haré volver de Basán;
yo los haré volver
de las profundidades del mar,
23 23 (24) para que se empapen los pies
en la sangre de sus enemigos,
¡y hasta los perros de ustedes
lamerán esa sangre!»
24 24 (25) En el santuario se ven
los desfiles de mi Dios y Rey.
25 25 (26) Al frente van los cantores,
seguidos de las que tocan panderetas;
los músicos cierran el desfile.
26-27 26-27 (27-28) Los dirige la tribu más joven,
que es la de Benjamín,
y los sigue una gran multitud:
¡Son los príncipes de Judá,
de Zabulón y de Neftalí!
Ustedes, israelitas,
¡bendigan a nuestro Dios,
cuando celebren sus reuniones!
28 28 (29) Dios mío, Dios mío,
¡demuéstranos tu poder!
¡Déjanos ver la fuerza
que has usado para ayudarnos!
29-31 29-31 (30-32) Dios mío,
por causa de tu templo
los reyes te traen regalos
a la ciudad de Jerusalén.
Reprende a esa nación
que vive solo para la guerra.
Parece una fiera entre los juncos;
es como una manada de toros,
¡parece una nación de terneros!
Es tanta su ambición por las riquezas
que hasta entre ellos se pelean.
Egipto te enviará su bronce,
y Etiopía te traerá regalos.
32 32 (33) Gente de todos los reinos,
¡cántenle a Dios!
¡Cántenle himnos a nuestro Dios!
33-34 33-34 (34-35) ¡Reconozcan su poder!
Sobre el cielo de Israel pueden verse
su poder y su majestad.
Nuestro Dios va por el cielo
como si fuera montando un caballo,
y deja oír su potente voz,
que resuena como el trueno.
35 35 (36) Dios mío, Dios de Israel,
¡qué imponente te ves
al venir de tu santuario!
Tú nos das fuerza y poder.
¡Bendito seas!
To the chief Musician, A Psalm or Song of David.
1 Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
4 Sing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name Jah, and rejoice before him.
5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land .
7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:
8 The earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
9 Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.
10 Thy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.
11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it .
12 Kings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.
13 Though ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.
14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.
15 The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.
16 Why leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever.
17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place .
18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them .
19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.
20 He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death.
21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.
22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:
23 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.
24 They have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.
25 The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.
26 Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.
27 There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.
28 Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.
29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.
30 Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.
31 Princes shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.
32 Sing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:
33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.
34 Ascribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.
35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.
