Alabanza a la justicia de Dios
Aleluya.
1 Alaba, alma mía, al Señor.
2 Mientras yo viva, alabaré al Señor;
todos los días de mi vida le cantaré salmos.
3 No pongan su confianza en los poderosos,
ni en ningún mortal, porque no pueden salvar.
4 El día que mueren, vuelven a la tierra,
y ese mismo día todos sus planes se acaban.
5 ¡Dichosos los que confían en el Dios de Jacob,
los que cuentan con la ayuda de Dios, el Señor!
6 El Señor creó los cielos y la tierra,
y el mar y todos los seres que contiene.
El Señor siempre cumple su palabra;
7 hace justicia a los oprimidos,
y da de comer a los que tienen hambre.
El Señor da libertad a los cautivos
8 y les devuelve la vista a los ciegos;
el Señor levanta a los caídos
y ama a los que practican la justicia.
9 El Señor protege a los extranjeros
y sostiene a las viudas y a los huérfanos,
pero tuerce el camino de los malvados.
10 El Señor reinará por siempre;
¡Sión, el Señor es tu Dios eterno!

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise the LORD, O my soul.
2 While I live will I praise the LORD: I will sing praises unto my God while I have any being.
3 Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.
4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; in that very day his thoughts perish.
5 Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God:
6 Which made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all that therein is: which keepeth truth for ever:
7 Which executeth judgment for the oppressed: which giveth food to the hungry. The LORD looseth the prisoners:
8 The LORD openeth the eyes of the blind: the LORD raiseth them that are bowed down: the LORD loveth the righteous:
9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the fatherless and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down.
10 The LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, unto all generations. Praise ye the LORD.
