To the chief Musician, A Psalm of David.
1 The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
2 The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God.
3 They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

4 Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the LORD.
5 There were they in great fear: for God is in the generation of the righteous.
6 Ye have shamed the counsel of the poor, because the LORD is his refuge.
7 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! when the LORD bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
Los malos rechazan a Dios
SALMO 14 (13)
(1a) Himno de David.
1 1 (1b) Los necios piensan:
«Dios no existe».
Pero son gente corrompida,
todo lo que hacen es odioso;
¡ninguno de ellos hace lo bueno!

2 Dios, desde el cielo,
mira a hombres y a mujeres;
busca a alguien inteligente
que lo reconozca como Dios.
3 Pero no hay uno solo
que no se haya alejado de Dios;
no hay uno solo
que no se haya corrompido;
no hay uno solo
que haga el bien.

4-5 Ustedes, gente malvada,
que allí están, llenos de miedo;
que jamás buscan a Dios,
y que se hartan de comida
a costillas de mi pueblo,
debieran saber esto:
¡Dios está con los buenos!
6 Y aunque ustedes desbaratan
los planes de los humildes,
Dios es quien los protege.

7 ¡Cómo quisiera yo que Dios
nos enviara desde Jerusalén
alguien que salve a nuestro pueblo!
¡Cuando Dios nos haga prosperar,
todos en Israel estaremos felices!
