1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.
6 ¶ Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.
7 ¶ Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: 8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. 9 Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? 10 Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11 If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him? 12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
13 ¶ Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15 ¶ Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
21 ¶ Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
24 ¶ Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. 26 And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: 27 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it. 28 And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine: 29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
No juzguen a los demás
(Lc 6.37-38Lc 41-42)1 »No se conviertan en jueces de los demás, y así Dios no los juzgará a ustedes. 2 Si son muy duros para juzgar a otras personas, Dios será igualmente duro con ustedes. Él los tratará como ustedes traten a los demás.
3 »¿Por qué te fijas en lo malo que hacen otros, y no te das cuenta de las muchas cosas malas que haces tú? Es como si te fijaras que en el ojo del otro hay una basurita, y no te dieras cuenta de que en tu ojo hay una rama. 4 ¿Cómo te atreves a decirle a otro: “Déjame sacarte la basurita que tienes en el ojo”, si en tu ojo tienes una rama? 5 ¡Hipócrita! Primero saca la rama que tienes en tu ojo, y así podrás ver bien para sacar la basurita que está en el ojo del otro.
6 »No den a los perros las cosas que pertenecen a Dios, ni echen delante de los cerdos lo que para ustedes es más valioso. Los cerdos no sabrán apreciar su valor, y los perros pueden morderlos a ustedes.
Pedir, buscar y llamar
(Lc 11.9-13Lc 6.31)7 »Pidan a Dios, y él les dará. Hablen con Dios, y encontrarán lo que buscan. Llámenlo, y él los atenderá. 8 Porque el que confía en Dios recibe lo que pide, encuentra lo que busca y, si llama, es atendido.
9 »Nadie le da a su hijo una piedra, si él le pide pan. 10 Ni le da una serpiente, si le pide un pescado.
11 »Si ustedes, que son malos, saben dar cosas buenas a sus hijos, con mayor razón Dios, su Padre que está en el cielo, dará buenas cosas a quienes se las pidan.
12 »Traten a los demás como ustedes quieran ser tratados, porque eso nos enseña la Biblia.
La entrada estrecha
(Lc 13.24)13 »Es muy fácil andar por el camino que lleva a la perdición, porque es un camino ancho. ¡Y mucha gente va por ese camino! 14 Pero es muy difícil andar por el camino que lleva a la vida, porque es un camino muy angosto. Por eso, son muy pocos los que lo encuentran.
El árbol y su fruto
(Lc 6.43-44)15 »¡Cuídense de los profetas mentirosos, que dicen que hablan de parte de Dios! Se presentan ante ustedes tan inofensivos como una oveja, pero en realidad son tan peligrosos como un lobo feroz. 16 Ustedes los podrán reconocer, pues no hacen nada bueno. Son como las espinas, que solo te hieren. 17-18 El árbol bueno sólo produce frutos buenos y el árbol malo sólo produce frutos malos. 19 El árbol que no da buenos frutos se corta y se quema. 20 Así que ustedes reconocerán a esos mentirosos por el mal que hacen.
¡Cuidado!
(Lc 13.25-27)21 »No todos los que dicen que yo soy su Señor y dueño entrarán en el reino de Dios. Eso no es suficiente; antes que nada deben obedecer los mandamientos de mi Padre, que está en el cielo. 22 Cuando llegue el día en que Dios juzgará a todo el mundo, muchos me dirán: “Señor y dueño nuestro, nosotros anunciamos de parte tuya el mensaje a otros. Y también usamos tu nombre para echar fuera demonios y para hacer milagros”. 23 Pero yo les diré: ¡Apártense de mí, gente malvada! ¡Yo no tengo nada que ver con ustedes!
Dos clases de personas
(Mc 1.22Lc 6.47-49)24 »El que escucha lo que yo enseño y hace lo que yo digo, es como una persona precavida que construyó su casa sobre piedra firme. 25 Vino la lluvia, y el agua de los ríos subió mucho, y el viento sopló con fuerza contra la casa. Pero la casa no se cayó, porque estaba construida sobre piedra firme.
26 »Pero el que escucha lo que yo enseño y no hace lo que yo digo es como una persona tonta que construyó su casa sobre la arena. 27 Vino la lluvia, y el agua de los ríos subió mucho, y el viento sopló con fuerza contra la casa. Y la casa se cayó y quedó totalmente destruida.»
28 Cuando Jesús terminó de hablar, todos los que escuchaban quedaron admirados de sus enseñanzas, 29 porque Jesús hablaba con toda autoridad, y no como los maestros de la Ley.
